How do we improve student engagement, make instruction relevant, and help students achieve academic excellence? The Los Angeles County Officew of Education's Road To Success Academy (RTSA), is an award-winning innovative model used to educate and successfully engage not only at-risk youth, but also students in high achieving schools. In this presentation, participants will learn the power to propel their schools from status quo to creating an innovative learning models by using a thematic, interdisciplinary, project-based curriculum that is trauma informed and tailored to students' social-emotional needs and promotes motivational and engagement for students who have not succeeded in traditional classroom settings.
