Zan began his educational career at Central Juvenile Hall 17 years ago as a math teacher. He continued his higher education and received an Administrative Credential. Zan accepted an interim Assistant Principal position at Barry J. Nidorf before transferring to the Santa Monica Mountains. After 1 year as the Assistant Principal, Zan was promoted to Principal of three school sites. He has been the principal for the Santa Monica Mountains for 2 years.
